| This is a painting in a series of backlit figures paintings that I have been exploring. There is something about a backlit subject that facinates me. For this painting I was interested in exploring the feeling of leisure and wonder the comes from taking the time to experience the outdoors free from everyday worry. I set the model up specifically for this at the right time of day. My cat Cinco decided to sweeten the deal with his presence. He really makes the painting what it is. |
